Directorate of Education aims at promotion of forestry education at under- graduation and post-graduation levels in the States Agricultural Universities by providing necessary infrastructural support to them. To ensure delivery of quality forestry education in these universities, a system of accreditation on the pattern of AICTE, has also been put in place by this Council.

Further with a view to promote employability of the students pursuing forestry courses as also to orient them towards higher academic achievements and research-related activities, upgradation of forestry syllabus is also undertaken by this Directorate from time to time, in keeping with the latest trends in the forestry sector.
